Both the central and state governments run various schemes to empower Dalits. Various types of financial assistance are provided to Dalits through these schemes. Recently Telangana Government has also started Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme. Through this scheme, financial incentives will be provided to provide self-employment to Dalits. The state government told that through the TS Dalit Bandhu Yojana, the citizens of the state will get a lot of help and their lives will also improve.

Telangana CM Dalit Bandhu Scheme
Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme is basically a welfare scheme to empower Dalit families and enable entrepreneurship among them. Through this scheme, the government is going to transfer an amount of Rs 10 lakh per family. This scheme is going to be the biggest cash transfer scheme in the country.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with elected Dalit representatives and leaders to discuss the plan. During this meeting, it was decided that 11900 families would be selected from 119 assembly constituencies of the state under the scheme, i.e. 100 families per assembly. Families will get cash assistance of Rs 10 lakh without any bank guarantee to start their business.

Pilot Project Under Telangana CM Dalit Bandhu Scheme
The Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme will be implemented in the selected assembly constituency on a pilot basis. As part of this, the meeting has selected the Huzurabad assembly constituency to implement the ‘Telangana Dalatha Bandhu’ scheme under the pilot project. The officials have also been asked to visit the colonies and interact with the families and take their opinion before framing guidelines for Schemes.
After the preparation of the guidelines, the beneficiaries will be selected from among the eligible Dalit families. An orientation meeting was also organized for 427 Dalit men and women of the Huzurabad Assembly Constituency which includes 2 men and 2 women and 15 resource people from each village and municipal ward on July 26, 2021. He explained the purpose of the scheme.
The pilot project of this scheme will focus on monitoring the implementation of the scheme, evaluation of outcomes, and creation of a security fund for the beneficiary. Apart from Rs 1200 crore, the Chief Minister has also announced Rs 2000 crore for the pilot project in Huzurabad.
The objective of the Telangana CM Dalit Bandhu Scheme
Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme has been launched with the main objective of empowering Dalit families and enabling entrepreneurship among them. The Dalit Empowerment Program was first announced in the state budget. Now Telangana government is ready to spend 80,000 crore to 01 lakh crore rupees under this.
The Chief Minister also said that this scheme is not just a government but a moment in which government will move forward to implement it across the country with the cooperation of the Centre.
