The Saksham Scholarship 2022 Program for Children of Drivers, an initiative by Mahindra Finance, provides financial assistance to children from the driver community to help them continue their education. Mahindra Finance believes in empowering the educational and career goals of children of drivers by removing financial constraints.
Under this scholarship, students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana who are studying in classes 1 to 12, undergraduate and postgraduate level, are provided one-time (fixed) financial assistance of up to Rs 20,000 for the purpose of educational expenses.

Benefits of Saksham Scholarship Program
Below are the benefits students will get-:
- Class 1 to 8 Students- Rs.5000 for 1 year
- Class 9 and 10 – Rs 8,000 for 1 year
- Class 11 and 12 – Rs 10,000 for 1 year
- Graduate Students- Rs. 15000 for 1 year
- Postgraduate Students- Rs. 20000 for 1 year
Eligibility Criteria for Saksham Scholarship
Class 1 to 8-:
- Open to students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.
- Applicants must be studying from classes 1 to 8.
- One of the parents must be a driver (all light motor vehicles and small commercial vehicles such as taxis, jeeps, cars, and delivery vans such as pickups, magic, school vans, etc.) and must have a valid driving license.
- The applicant’s annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4,00,000.
- Children or family members of Mahindra Finance & Buddy4Study are not eligible.
Class 9 to 12-:
- Open to students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.
- Applicants must be studying from classes 9 to 12.
- Applicants must have secured 60% and above in their previous class.
- One of the parents must be a driver (all light motor vehicles and small commercial vehicles such as taxis, jeeps, cars, and delivery vans such as pickups, magic, school vans, etc.) and must have a valid driving license.
- The applicant’s annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4,00,000.
Graduate Students-:
- Open to students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.
- Applicants must be studying in any year of their graduation (both general and professional), ITI, Diploma, or Polytechnic courses.
- Applicants must have secured 60% and above in their previous class.
- One of the parents must be a driver (all light motor vehicles and small commercial vehicles such as taxis, jeeps, cars, and delivery vans such as pickups, magic, school vans, etc.) and must have a valid driving license.
- The applicant’s annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4,00,000.
Postgraduate Students-:
- Open to students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.
- Applicants must be studying in any year of their postgraduate courses (both general and professional).
- Applicants must have secured 60% and above in their previous class.
- One of the parents must be a driver (all light motor vehicles and small commercial vehicles such as taxis, jeeps, cars, and delivery vans such as pickups, magic, school vans, etc.) and must have a valid driving license
- The applicant’s annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 4,00,000.
Required Documents for Saksham Scholarship
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar card/voter id card/driving license/PAN card)
- Photograph of the applicant
- Address proof (Domicile certificate/residential certificate/telephone bill/ration card)
- Marksheet of the previous qualifying examination
- Admission proof (Fee receipt/admission letter/institution ID card/ bonafide certificate)
- Family income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slips, etc.)
- Bank account details of the applicant (canceled cheque/passbook copy)
- Commercial driving license (taxi, cab, minivan, school van, magic/pick-up, etc.)
- Contract copy/income proof/employee ID card (for cab driver’s profile if they do not possess a commercial driving license)

- A new page will open on your screen.
- Click on the Apply Now option at the bottom of that page.
- Log in to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land on the ‘Application Form Page’.
- If not registered – Register on Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Gmail account.
- Now you will be redirected to the Enable Scholarship Program for Drivers Children Application Form page.
- Click on the Start Application button to start the application process.
- Fill in the required details in the online application form.
- Upload relevant documents.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled by the applicant are correctly visible on the preview screen, then click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
