The Madurai district administration on Saturday issued guidelines for ‘Jallikattu’, a traditional event to be held later this month, in compliance with Covid-19 norms and prevention of cruelty to animals. has been prescribed in compliance with the prevention of (conduct of Jallikattu). Jallikattu competition is held every year in the Madurai district for three consecutive days on the occasion of the Pongal festival.

Jallikatti Online Registration Important Guidelines

In the Madurai district, Avanipuram Jallikattu will be held on January 15, while Palamedu Jallikattu will be held on January 16, and Alankanallur Jallikattu on January 17.

As per the guidelines issued by the Madurai District Collector, the bull tamers will be required to submit their registration form on the official website Photograph has to be uploaded- Madurai.nic.in- with all the two-dose corona vaccination certificates from the district administration.
