Indian Coast Guard released a notification on 25 August for the Mechanical 01/2023 Batch. Interested candidates need to apply online for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik from 8th to 22nd September. Candidates in the age group of 18 to 22 years can apply for the Indian Coast Mechanical 2023 Exam. , The selection process consists of Stage-I, II, III, and IV. The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, which conducts year-round real-life operations at sea. Despite being relatively small, it has a wide range of work capabilities for both surface and air operations.

The organization is headed by the Director General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG), who exercises full command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (GCHQ) in New Delhi. At GCHQ, he is assisted by four Deputy Director Generals of the level of Inspector General and other senior officers heading various staff divisions.

For effective command and control, India’s maritime zones are divided into five Coast Guard Zones, namely North-West, West, East, North-East, and Andaman & Nicobar, with respective regional headquarters located at Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Port Blair. The Coast Guard area is commanded by Inspector General level officers.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik/Navik Eligibility

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik eligibility criteria are given below-:

Educational Qualification-:

  • Candidates must have completed Class 10 or Matric
  • Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate.
  • SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% in the minimum cut-off.
  • Any person having an excellent record in sports at the national level will get a relaxation of five percent in the minimum cut-off.

Or

  • Passed Class 10 and Class 12 from a Board of Education recognized by the Board of School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering of 02 or 03 years duration approved by All India Technical Council. Education (AICTE).

Age Limit-:

Minimum Age: 18 Years.
Maximum Age: 22 Years.
Age Between: 01/05/2001 to 30/04/2005 for ICG Navik & Yantrik
